Items needed for this project:
- 2 or more colors of fairly new nail polish. ( if it is thick it won't work well )
- Scotch Tape
- Tooth Picks
- Cup of Room Temp water
- Q-tips
- Nail Polish Remover
- White nail polish for base color and Clear top coat
I tried red and pink, pink and black, and black and yellow. They were all pretty. You just have to play around with different colors and figure out what you like best.
I would love to see what you do. GO to my facebook page and show me your cute nails!
Very cool! I'm going to be doing this one soon! :) Thanks for showing us cute!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI just tried this with my daughter last night, and it worked out great! I've been seeing this new trend a lot, and I was really skeptical that it would actually work...I mean, dropping nail polish in water?! Sounds crazy, but works great and looks so cool!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tutorial!
hey im kaialee im 13 and i love this technique ive done this about 2 or 3 times and ive showed all my friends ur website they love it
ReplyDeleteFor this does room temperature mean warm, or to leave it out for a while?
ReplyDeletereply to this jenny. because i did it to me and my sisters and it did not work why you lie to me and i am Haley friend and i wonder if it work for. and i have that same brand and i did it with that brand why did it not work.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry. I don't know why it didn't work. Maybe watch the video again and listen for details. Was your water room temp? Was your polish quick dry? No quick dry. I have also learned that instead of tape you can use vaseline around the skin to keep polish off the finger. Just don't get on nail. I hope I can help.
ReplyDeleteI love this! Definitely going to try it, but I was wondering if you need change the water after every nail?
