Homemade Oreo Cookies

I wanted to share one of our Families favorite treats.  This is absolutely the easiest and tastiest dessert!  They can be made to eat fresh or even frozen!  I keep a stash in the freezer and like to eat them right out of the freezer.

Items Needed For This Project:

  • See ingredients in Recipe!
Cookie Recipe
2 boxes Devil's Food Cake Mix- I prefer Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines
2/3 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs

Put all ingredients in mixer and mix with paddle.  Roll into balls about 1.5 inches.  (see video  for tip) Bake for 8 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool on pan about 5-10 minutes and then on cooling rack until ready to frost and assemble.

Icing/Filling Recipe
8 oz butter
8 oz marshmallow fluff
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla

In mixer, cream butter and marshmallow fluff.  Add sugar and vanilla.  Mix on low speed to incorporate sugar.  Then mix on medium for about 2 minutes.

Yummo-licious!

*I have to thank Carie and Tiffany for this recipe.  They are two of my super good friends.  Love you girls!
