Summer Drinks

Summer is here! With summer heat just around the corner and kids home from school, these drinks will make you the favorite place to be! I think the slashes are my favorite.  I grew up on kool-aid and slushies taste so good when it is hot.  

SHIRLEY TEMPLE RECIPE


1/2 cup Orange Juice
1/2 cup Ginger ale
1/2 cup Sprite/7-Up (lemon-lime soda)
2 tablespoons Grenadine
Garnish: Cherry, Lime Wedge/Slice

Fill cup 1/2 full with ice.  Add above ingredients in order.  Stir.  Add Garnish.  Enjoy!
Serves 1

Ocean Water Recipe (Sonic Replica)

3 tablespoons water
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon Coconut flavoring
Blue Food Coloring
2 cups Sprite/7-Up (lemon-lime soda)
Optional:  Sweedish Fish for Garnish

*Combine water and sugar. Place in microwave for about 1 minute.  Stir to dissolve sugar.  Add Coconut flavoring & 2-3 drops Blue food coloring.  
Fill glass half full with ice.  Pour in Sprite.  Add Coconut syrup to taste.  Stir.  Enjoy!

Kool-Aid Slushie

2 cups Cold Water
1/2 cup Sugar
1 package Kool-Aid
4 cups ice

In blender add above ingredients.  Mix.  Enjoy!
Makes about (4) 8oz. servings
